Newly formed music group New Substance is holding a contest for singers and rappers. Downloadable file below includes four demos. Each demo contains verse loop and chorus loop in .wav format. Use one of the beats, record verse and chorus, sing, rap (in any language), show us what you can do. Solo artists as well as groups can participate. Send your demo to:
including text file with lyrics. Title of the message should contain the wording "Contest 1".
New Substance commits to arange, mix and master a full song for a winner with a beat of her/his choice after receiving the rest of vocals. Four winners will be selected, each for one beat. Songs will be posted on our YouTube and SoundCloud channel.
If this kind of initiative recives positive feedback, we are going to do this more often, in various musical genres. We are waiting for your entries until september 30th 2014.
We are also inviting everyone interested in our contest and music to our fanpage. We wold love to see people form all over the world to participate! So please, feel free to spread the word, translate the description of contest to your native language, and post it on forums, etc.
We pay special attention to quaity of your record. Before sonding yours vocals to us feel free to digitally inprove its quality, but please don’t interfere with our beats. By participating in our contest you agree that we’re going to post best of entries on our channels, where viewers can judge your demos and vote for best songs, however New Substance makes the final choice.
And most important - you can use these demos in other non-profit projects, post them on your YouTube channels etc. Just put info in the decription or title our name, New Substance, and fanpage link:

Aside form competitions our productions are not free, but we know how hard it is when you have to start from scratch, so in this competition we are giving you our skills in exchange for your skills.
